The Royal Australian Air Force operates the Boeing EA‑18G Growler electronic attack aircraft with No. 6 Squadron based at RAAF Base Amberley. A46‑301 is one of 12 Growlers that give Australia airborne electronic warfare capability, able to disrupt, deceive and deny enemy radar and communications systems in support of joint operations. In 2025, A46‑301 was active in training, regional air operations and likely participated in exercises with allied forces as the RAAF continues to integrate Growlers into force structure. The Growlers remain central to the RAAF electronic attack mission and are being prepared for future jammer upgrades.

Designed as a replacement for the A-4 Skyhawk and the A-7 Corsair II and as a complement to the F-14 Tomcat, the F/A-18 first flew on November 18, 1978. Perhaps best known as the aircraft of the US Navy's Blue Angels, this carrier-capable, supersonic, all-weather fighter has many roles, including fighter es**rt, fleet air defence and close air support. The F/A-18 is a versatile aircraft: it can operate from carriers or land bases and a single switch converts it from fighter to strike mode. During Operation Desert Storm, the F/A-18 proved that, on a single mission, one aircraft could serve as both fighter and a bomber.

New in stock Corgi Vanguard VA14405 Ford Fiesta Mk2 1.4 Ghia, Willow Green Model Car. This 1:43 scale model is priced at £37.95 including Postage & Packing in the UK.

The Mk2 Fiesta arrived in autumn 1983, bringing a thoroughly modernised front end to Ford’s remarkably successful supermini whilst retaining the proven rear structure of the original 1976 design.

The restyling served dual purposes: aligning the Fiesta with Ford’s contemporary design language and accommodating the advanced CVH (Compound Valve-angle Hemispherical) engine with its five-speed transaxle. The 1392cc lean burn unit fitted to this 1986 model represented the pinnacle of the Mk2’s powertrain development.

By the time production ceased in 1989, nearly two million examples had rolled off the production lines. Ford positioned the Fiesta Ghia as offering “big-car luxury with small car economy”, and delivered on that promise with an impressive specification.

Standard equipment included tinted glass, Olivia and Crushed Velour fabric seats with adjustable head restraints, matching velour carpet, digital clock, tachometer and an advanced heating and ventilation system.

Entertainment came courtesy of a self-seeking FM/AM radio cassette with four speakers. The Ghia’s distinctive exterior featured characteristic crests mounted above the front wing repeaters, a tilt-or-remove sunroof, tailgate wash/wipe, bright side moulding inserts, and front bumper overriders.

The optional metallic paint, including this striking Willow Green, added £126.44 to the £6,903.27 list price, a premium many buyers happily paid for that extra touch of sophistication.
