It’s been another fantastic day here at the shop so thank you again for everyone that came in! ✨

Almost every day I get approximately 2 minutes where the sun sets and goes perfectly between two buildings and into the window. It’s not quite golden hour, more golden 2 minutes. ☀️

I have a plant delivery tomorrow (amongst other wonderful things) but I absolutely adore the lighting I get for that very small two minute window. 🪴

A very pleasant 6g surprise this morning! ☀️

As I was doing my watering and animal checks I spotted this little baby leachie gecko just hanging out on the cork bark! 🥰

I scooped him up and put him in his own enclosure. I’d thought Nigel and Nigella had taken a break from breeding but alas, here we are! 🙌

I’m usually pretty good at egg checks but I hadn’t found anything for a while! 🥚

Look, I may be biased but this is possibly one of the most beautiful Tangerine Honduran Milk Snakes. ❤️

Found in the lowlands and forest areas of Honduras these wonderful snakes are a solid alternative to a cornsnake while being able to offer a more forest based enclosure. 🍃

I’m often asked “Should I use real plants or artificial?” 🌺

Well how about both! You can get the pros of real and artificial plants, there are some fantastic looking silk plants that can add a lovely splash of colour to your enclosures, they’re also considerably easier to look after and keep clean. 🍃

Add a splash of colour, a new hiding area, some nice new enrichment to your enclosures. ☀️

How adorable is this Russian Rat Snake? 🐍

Starting off with browns and creams, they grow and mature to produce stunning blacks orange and yellows. 🖤

They are a fantastic alternative to cornsnakes but they do grow longer and have a heavier build than corns. 💪

They’re very active, curious and super tolerant of handling too! 🥰
