Nearly a year ago, I did something that was equal parts exciting, terrifying and completely mad…
I quit my job on a bit of a whim after seeing a space advertised and opened a little boutique - A Boutique - in Harleston. 🤍
And that’s how A Boutique was born.. it was never my childhood dream, I didn’t plot and plan for years… but now I cannot imagine doing anything else and I love it!
It was never going to be just a clothes or gift shop. I wanted it to be somewhere you could come in, feel calm and relaxed in the middle of all the crazy outside, no sales pressure or watchful eye and hopefully leave with a little treasure for you or gift for someone with that feeling of just absolute delight knowing it will brings smiles for years to come!
I also try my hardest to support women owned UK businesses wherever I can. In everything I buy that’s what I look for as it’s incredibly important to me.
There have been huge highs, plenty of wobbles, (sorry again Aaron!) a LOT of learning and more late nights than I care to admit 😂 — but I genuinely couldn’t imagine doing anything else now.
And the best bit?
You. (And your dogs! 🐾 Even the one who ate my sandwich!)
The ladies who walked through the door when I first opened. The ones who have become regulars. The ones who bring their friends (and dogs). The ones who have become friends. The ones who message me when they’ve spotted something online. The ones who have found what they couldn’t anywhere else and cry tears of happiness the search is over! The ones who tell me they’ve never felt so welcome in a shop.
You’ve made A Boutique what it is.
