Wonderful news from Our Dogs and Royal Windsor Championship Dog Show. Plans already afoot to showcase our 75 year old dogs (ornament, art and books!) at this very special event.
WINDSOR CH SHOW UPDATE

WINDSOR REBORN!
Following the well-documented problems faced by the Windsor Championship Show back in June, the Society can now announce that they are back and have had the double show confirmed for July 2027
In fact, next year will be Windsor's 75th show, so it feels like the perfect opportunity to celebrate Windsor’s history while also marking a really exciting new chapter for the show after the heartache experienced earlier this year when the show was cancelled due to intense heat.
This exciting news will be welcomed by all dog people and exhibitors, not just those affected directly at the time. Joint Secretary Rachael Corr told OUR DOGS,
“We’re particularly keen to send our thanks to the exhibitors who stood by us, and supported the Society following this year’s cancellation. Their support has genuinely helped us move forward, and we want to properly recognise that. As part of our 2027 plans, those exhibitors will receive discounted entries for the show as a tangible thank you for the support and goodwill they showed Windsor when it really mattered.”
Rachael added, “Details of the discount packages for the 2027 show will be released later in the year. In the meantime, we kindly ask that you do not contact the Society regarding these arrangements, as we are still working through the logistics. Full details will be communicated once everything has been finalised.”
NEW GROUND
In fact, there is more positive news to share alongside the double show. The Society is moving to a new ground within the Royal Park, with a much more ‘Border Union-style’ layout and exhibitor parking around the rings. The Society says that it will give them considerably more room and the opportunity to create an even better experience for exhibitors while keeping Windsor firmly within its Royal Park setting.
Other societies such as SKC and Driffield have managed with double shows and the Windsor team are ready for this new challenge
The Windsor team also said, “We would also like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to our Trade Stand holders, Partnership Shows and supply chain for their continued patience, understanding and support.
A particular thank you must go to OUR DOGS for their ongoing support, and to the Royal Kennel Club for their guidance and assistance.”
Acknowledging additional help from fellow organisers, Windsor added, “We are also incredibly grateful to our fellow Championship Dog Show societies and colleagues across the wider dog show community. We received, and continue to receive, a tremendous amount of help, advice and support from other societies, which has been hugely appreciated”
FIRM FAVOURITE
No doubt this will be a relief for many people in dogs as Windsor is a firm favourite on the show circuit and also a very attractive show for the many hundreds of overseas exhibitors and visitors that combine a trip to the UK as a show and a holiday.
Windsor has a number of unique factors in its favour and had achieved an amazing number of actual overseas entries for this year’s event, just under 300 in fact, plus additional international visitors.
So, make a note in your diary for 2027 with the show days confirmed as,
July 1st: Thursday Toy and Utility
July 2nd: Friday Working and Pastoral
July 3rd: Saturday Gundog
July 4th: Sunday Terrier and Hound
