Im up at Warhammer World this weekend. The AoS GT is tomorrow, but I had a test game with Tim to remember the rules. It took forever! But, I did come away with a 59-45 win. So it was close.

Some better photos of everything I’ve painted up in the last 2 and a half weeks.

- 10 Craventhrone Gaurd
- 21 Chainrasps
- 2 Chainghasts
- 1 Lord Executioner
- 1 Mourngul (counts as Mancrusher Gargant)

Finally finished with the Nighthaunt ahead of the GT, with one day to spare. (Friday being travel day). First photo is a WIP shot early in the day working on basing while the second photo is the finished lot all together still on their batch painting cardboard sticks (held down by double sided tape).

I cut a few corners to make sure I finished on time but I can paint those details up at the later date. Overall I’m pretty pleased with the end result. I’ll try and take a nicer photo tomorrow.

A little late night WIP as I push towards the WHW AoS GT next weekend. This is just 1 of 35 minis. So quite the batch paint. Side note, as much as I love the craventhrone guard minis, I also hate just how much detail they have and how difficult they are to paint.
Second side note, incase it wasn’t obvious this is a chainrasp mini not a craventhrone guard.

A game against Spike and his Ultramarines on the weekend as part of our 500 Worlds campaign weekend. Due to the mission rules my Wardens gained infiltrate giving them a turn 1 charge killing some intercessors before chasing down the Brutalis. Meanwhile there was a brutal mid table fight between Vitrix honourgard and my jetbikes, thankfully I managed to countercharge with my guardians which swung the fight in my favour and despite the inceptors doing a lot of damage I managed to eliminate the rest of the army giving a win for the Thunder Warriors.

With the model assembled I filled in all the gaps with superglue and sanded these smooth, it’s a much quicker method than greenstuff and works well with resin. I then attached the mini to crypt (the roof piece from the old Fantasy mausoleum kit), the wire attached to the arm goes through the crypt and to the base and is all glued in place.

I’ve started work on the other basing details, using textured paint over plasticard for some raised surfaces, i’ve added to this with milliput where I wanted a more pronounced effect as the textured paint alone wasn’t enough.

Graves are made from plasticard, I think I’ll eventually make these as a resin kit to speed up this process (and make it available for others). No kits out there do gravestones small enough to match the Nighthaunt range.

More textured paint and a few cobblestones will be added using greenstuff once this all cures.
