We also have a very exciting and very exclusive brunch event with the brilliant 3AM books team as part of Women in Horror weekend!

oin the team behind 3AM Books, Penguin Random House’s horror imprint, for a pre-opening brunch and an exclusive preview of some of the most exciting horror titles coming in 2027. The team will share behind-the-scenes insight into the imprint, introduce forthcoming books and give guests a first look at what is coming next from 3AM Books.

Last week we had a wonderful workshop with author and illustrator Naomi Tipping who taught everyone how to make their own 'Tuck Me In' book. 😺 🐶

It's time for another Women in Horror announcement!!

We're delighted to be welcoming Juno Dawson to Women in Horror Weekend to celebrate the re-release of her novel, Say Her Name! 😱

Roberta 'Bobbie' Rowe is not the kind of person who believes in ghosts. A Halloween dare at her ridiculously spooky boarding school is no big deal, especially when her best friend Naya and cute local boy Caine agree to join in too. They are ordered to summon the legendary ghost of Bloody Mary: say her name five times in front of a candlelit mirror, and she shall appear... But, surprise surprise, nothing happens. Or does it?

Next morning, Bobbie finds a message on her bathroom mirror - five days - but what does it mean? And who left it there? Things get increasingly weird and more terrifying for Bobbie and Naya, until it becomes all too clear that Bloody Mary was indeed called from the afterlife that night, and she is definitely not a friendly ghost. Next up on our programme for Women in Horror 2026 is the Queen of African horror herself, Nuzo Onoh.

Nuzo will be chatting to us about her new book, The Turning of Sally-Mae 🐍

When Sally-Mae Jenkins is violated and impregnated by the twin scions of a wealthy rancher, she’s sent to join the African missionary ship as a widow. Pregnant and terrified, Sally-Mae vows vengeance on all those who abused her and her family.
