All the Bookwise staff are volunteers, raising funds for the local charity 'Music For Everyone'.

Hi everyone, what a gorgeous day it is! Lovely to feel the sun. Here at Bookwise we’ve had a lovely donation of jazz CDs. Also, to go with the weather, we have a great collection of cricket books, including Neville Cardus, Fred Trueman and the inimitable Brian Johnston. The Easter bunnies are happy because Bookwise will be open our normal hours, 11 an to 4 pm, on both Good Friday and Easter Monday bank holidays. So if you’re in town do pop in and enjoy browsing our lovely range of books, CDs and sheet music 📚🎵🎶💿

We’ve had a donation of Jazz Book Club Books and Jazz Piano Music which is on sale at the back of our shop . The Jazz books are individually priced and in 2 groups and on offers for reduced prices for buying for 3! The left group £3 -£5 and the right one £6 - £9.50. The Jazz Piano Music is on the desk at the back of the shop and is individually priced.
We have lots of sheet music, CD’s and great books on lots of topics all at reasonable prices. They are all donated items and profit monies all goes to Music-for-Everyone.
Please come and visit us at 10, Goosegate, Hockley- 11am - 4pm Monday -Saturday.

Hi everyone! It’s the last day of 2025 and here at Bookwise we have a great post-Christmas sale of as-new hardback fiction for only £2 each. The Bookwise pixies are having a day off tomorrow but we’ll be back to our normal opening hours from Friday. Hope you can call in!

Hello everyone! - this is the time of year when we offer Sunday afternoon opening, just to make sure there’s the best possible chance of our lovely customers being able to get the gifts they need for friends and family. Hi everyone! Here at Bookwise we’ll be opening on Sundays, 12-4 pm, from 30 November till Christmas - that’s in addition to our normal Monday to Saturday 11-4 opening. Yet more opportunities for Christmas shopping! 🎄🎁 🎄
We have plenty of gorgeous ‘as new’ books filling the shelves so that as many shoppers as possible can find that perfect gift. Or if you’re a music-maker, do check out our great selection of Christmas music. (Oh, and there has even been talk of new fairy lights … watch this space 😎)

Yes we’ve put our Christmas Sheet Music on display at the back of our shop ready for customers to come and search for festive music to sing or play! Alongside we’ve put some nice music themed books . Please come and check them out .
We also have some books in excellent condition out on the shelves which we believe will make excellent Christmas presents at low prices.

We have reduced further the Sale Price of our Music Books to :

There are many amazing bargains to be found on the Music Book shelves at the back of the shop on the left hand side. Please come and have a good look and hopefully you’ll find some gems at cheap prices.
We also have a lot of Sheet Music, instrumental and vocal. However there is more in our store room so do ask if you can’t find what you’re looking for.
