I have been busy working on my website booksbooksbooks.co.uk and I have really enjoyed going back to my roots, as it were. I have written a few blogs, if you would like to check them out, that would be great.

Thank you in advance of reading my ramblings. I hope you enjoy them.

Have a great weekend and happy reading.

Books bring me such joy. I cannot really explain it. When I am reading, buying, writing and talking about books, they make my heart sing, my brain long for their hidden stories and my face smile.

The feel of a book and the smell of a new book, turning each page, reaching the next chapter, the feeling when you pass that halfway point and there are more pages to your left than the right. The equal longing to finish and not wanting to finish a book. The need to sleep versus the need to read.

Books on more than one occasion have given me strength and rescued me from places, I have no desire to return to and books will send me to new places away from there.

Whatever you read, in whatever format you prefer, share it, love it and most importantly enjoy it.

Happy reading.

An interesting article. I personally think this is born out of the Coronavirus epidemic. Everyone was interviewed in front of their bookcases. It would seem you were nobody unless you were.

I am always looking for my next book or books to add to my to be read pile, I know you know what I am talking about.

I came across this one which I think looks rather interesting.

When a young man inherits a vast mansion from an estranged great-uncle, his apparent good fortune sours when unsettling things begin to happen … A terrifying psychological thriller cm gothic ghost story from the bestselling author of A Suitable Lie.

What was the last book that you read the synopsis and it grabbed you ?
Happy reading.

Congratulations to Marieke Lucas Rijneveld's the youngest Booker Prize winner for a debut novel too.

"I asked God if he please couldn't take my brother Matthies instead of my rabbit. 'Amen.'

Ten-year-old Jas has a unique way of experiencing her universe: the feeling of udder ointment on her skin as protection against harsh winters; the texture of green warts, like capers, on migrating toads; the sound of 'blush words' that aren't in the Bible. But when a tragic accident ruptures the family, her curiosity warps into a vortex of increasingly disturbing fantasies - unlocking a darkness that threatens to derail them all" Synopsis from Amazon.co.uk
