Stitch Studio

Stitch Studio Hand-sculpted wool felt creatures: modern heirlooms crafted with a touch of retro nostalgia to bring a little character to your favourite spaces.

Cute, felt creations in a retro style, to add a little something you love to your space or as a gift. Welcome to the adorably cute Stitch Studio, where I make meticulously hand cut and hand sewn, colourful, animal decor, brooches and pictures using 100% wool felt in all my pieces. Inspired by my childhood toys and TV (I love FuzzyFelt), my crafty Mum and a love of animals, I carefully craft everything from the best quality, wool felt. I hand cut and hand sew everything making each creation unique and often one of a kind! You’ll find all sorts of animals from Snails to Dachshunds, Guinea Pigs to Elephants, all with a touch of whimsy, a wink to retro and kawaii-cute. Keep up to date with what I’m up to and when my next shop update will be, on Instagram or Facebook or get in touch, [email protected]

Which colour is your favourite? All of them?

Wollaton, I hope you like wiggly worms! 🪱

I have been carefully stitching different colours of wiggly worms. Every one has a different little face and it’s own personality.

If you wanted to introduce a new little buddy into your favourite space it would probably be very difficult to choose between them.

To help you with your difficult choice I’ll have my vending machine with me on Saturday at the market.

I’ll have lots of other characters too so anyone in the Nottingham area, come and say ‘hi’.

I’ve a jam packed Autumn in store starting with these 3 events.

This weekend I’m joining the thereismuchjoyahead market in Wollaton, my first market in aaaaagges! I’m looking forward to that and I will be bringing my wiggly worm vending machine, so look out for that 🪱

The Folksy Christmas Craft Drop is for those of you who like to plan ahead. I’ll be offering some pre-orders to buy now and be delivered by December, to guarantee you a Stitch Studio Christmas.

I’m also joining the Super Seconds Festival for the first time. I’ll have some beautiful, nearly perfect soft sculptures available for that. I wouldn’t dream of calling them seconds but for various reasons, they haven’t made it to my shop or market table and still deserve a lovely forever home.

Hope you can join me for some of that.

My work diary has shifted a little andI’ve decided to organise my time a bit better between now and Christmas🧵✨

Because every character, decoration and wreath, is cut, sculpted, and stitched entirely by hand, my Christmas to do list is strictly limited by time.

I am standing at fewer Christmas craft markets this year so I will be offering a limited number of pre-order slots to try and avoid disappointment and give everyone a chance to get the thing they love, in time for Christmas.

I’m giving the first choice to the lovely people on the Stitch List.

If you are hoping to welcome a little character into your home this winter, or gift a bespoke keepsake to someone special, join The Stitch List to secure your slot before the studio doors open to everyone else.

I'm happy to say that my muscle memory refuses to work while making a Forest Creature and each time I make one, I seem to take a completely different approach.

One thing that is always the same, he starts as an egg - with feet!
