Overloon! My final stop of the trip. After heading up Hell's Highway from Joe's Bridge to Arnhem, the drive back to Belgium went slightly east to check out .
Almost straight away I was hit by a great surprise. Gerrit van der Veen, who we are making a mini of, is someone i haven't finished the design brief yet for Alan. I wanted some more info on him first to help me tell the story. I managed to get hold of a book while in Belgium and then fantastically there is a part of the museum dedicated to him. Its extra emotional to see "my people" even if they've not even been sculpted yet.
They had so much more information and leads on more information, as well as photographs I hadn't seen before.
Another of the upcoming minis is Queen Wilhemina herself, so I had a go at broadcasting with her.
As always, most of the photos I took are for reference or secret upcoming things, but you can see a little bit of what's there - its probably one of the most photographed museums anyway!
Shout out to Sjak who recognised me in the cafe, that and being recognised in Antwerp, it was a marvel that my head fit through the checkpoints at the Eurostar. It actually means so much to get some motivational waheys ACROSS THE WORLD!
I'm back in the uk now, lots more to show you from the trip, lots more to talk about. Lots more bridges to make you guess. I'm back in office in Monday as the rest of the week is still holiday, just in England.
Extra million thanks to for being the best company, host, and person behind the camera on many occasion! ❤️
