Lenny joined us at work today, and felt right at home with Pig the fibber!!

Pig was a pug,and I'm sorry to say, he would often tell lies just to get his own way. Pig the Pug tells lies to get what he wants and get Trevor the sausage dog in trouble. When Pig hatches a plan to get at the hidden treats in the back of the closet, his lies get Trevor thrown out of the house. Finally he's all alone with those treats. What he didn't expect was the bowling ball. Maybe this time Pig the Pug will learn his lesson.

World Book Day!!!

Fantastic Mr Fox 🦊 is Freddie’s World Book Day read. I’m glad he chose this book this year as Roald Dahl was definitely one of my childhood favourite authors.

It was originally published in 1970 and yet still feels a current book, this edition is also great for the younger readers, as it is accompanied with wonderful colour illustrations by the amazingly talented Quentin Blake, this is one not to be missed!!!

So we started Ice Monster by David Walliams a few nights ago and we are absolutely loving it!!

This is Illustrated by the artistic genius Tony Ross, which really helps the story come to life for my 7 year old.

So we took part this week in Children’s mental health week and read some books that we felt met this genre.

This years theme is “express yourself”

With home schooling still ongoing my little ones much like everyone else’s I guess, have been struggling with emotions.

Dealing with Feeling Sad by Isabel Thomas

This book looks at sadness, including what it feels like to be sad, how to stop being sad, and how to help other people who might be feeling sad.

This series helps readers to identify their emotions, and provide tips and advice on how best to express and deal with them.

This is a fantastic book for our little ones at the moment helping them to understand why they may be feeling the way they do.
