A Level Results Day
One of the biggest days in your young life. I remeber at the time thinking this will shape my entire life and yes getting into university was my dream and I had the happiest 4years of my life but it definitely wasn't the be all and end all. I'm almost 40 and if 18year old me knew that some of my most successful friends didn't get into university and didn't even get A levels then maybe I wouldn't have been so worried. I was definitely not an exam girl, I've always been more hands on. At school I would say I was average and sometimes struggled but then I found university really easy. If you get the results you want don't feel pressure that this is what you have to do for the rest of your life. If you don't get the results you expected don't panic, you life is not over. Yes your an adult at 18 but I guarantee, myself and everyone my age can say we really didn't have our life together for at least another 10years. I worked hard and partied harder. I made mistakes and that's okay even if you can't admit them at the time. You are still young and the pressure is immense but your life is just beginning. If you have a dream follow it, maybe it will work out or maybe you'll follow a different path, either way is fine. Just remember, because no one ever says this, if your not happy don't waste your life doing it. You only get 1 life and no one knows how long that life will be so live everyday as though it's your last and I promise older you will thank you later xx
