🌸 From Bouquet to Preservation: The Deconstruction Process 🌸
Every flower preservation journey begins long before the freeze dryer is switched on.
This beautiful bouquet arrived as a carefully arranged design, but to achieve the very best preservation results, each stem must be individually assessed and prepared. Roses, spray roses, fillers, foliage, hypericum berries, and delicate blooms all dry at different rates, so the bouquet is carefully deconstructed and separated onto individual trays.
By laying each flower out with plenty of space around it, I can ensure even drying, better airflow, and the highest possible colour and shape retention throughout the freeze-drying process. Each variety is positioned according to its size and moisture content, allowing every bloom to receive the care it needs.
What starts as a stunning bouquet becomes a collection of individual treasures, each preserved at its very best before being lovingly reassembled into a lasting keepsake.
