Scarecrow Shenanigans is a brand-new family trail celebrating the wonderful world of Children's Book Characters in conjunction with the National Year of Reading 2026. 📖✨

From 19th–30th September, discover storybook characters hiding in shops and businesses across the town centre.

Guillotine Operator / Print Finisher

As our Print & Design department continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced and reliable Guillotine Operator / Print Finisher to join our team.

This is a hands-on role within our busy print department and would suit someone with previous experience in a commercial print environment who takes pride in producing high-quality finished work.

The Role

Your main responsibility will be operating our guillotine and carrying out a range of print finishing duties, ensuring jobs are completed accurately, efficiently and to a high standard.

Day-to-day duties will include:

* Operating a guillotine to accurately cut a wide variety of printed materials
* Checking measurements, quantities and finished quality
* Creasing, folding, perforating and other general print finishing
* Laminating and mounting where required
* Collating, packing and preparing completed jobs for collection or delivery
* Carrying out quality checks throughout the finishing process
* Working closely with our print and design team to keep jobs moving through production
* Helping to prioritise workloads to meet customer deadlines
* Keeping machinery and the finishing area clean, organised and well maintained

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

* Has previous experience operating a commercial print guillotine
* Has experience within print finishing or a similar production environment
* Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in the quality of their work
* Is confident working accurately with measurements and specifications
* Can work efficiently in a busy environment and manage changing priorities
* Is reliable, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team
* Has a positive, flexible attitude and is happy to help across the print department when required

Experience operating other print finishing equipment would be a definite advantage.

Experience would be beneficial but full training will be given if you think you would be suitable for this role.

🎉 Happy 30th Birthday to George Eliot Hospital Charity! 🎂💙

Hayley and Harry had a fantastic time today joining the celebrations for 30 incredible years of the George Eliot Hospital Charity.

As a local, family-run business, we’re incredibly proud to support a charity that does so much for our local hospital, its patients, families and staff.

We also feel very privileged to be the proud sponsors of Ele the Elephant 🐘💙 this year, making today’s celebrations even more special for us.

We were incredibly saddened to hear the news involving football legend Kevin Keegan. It brought back a very special memory for us.

A few years ago, we had the pleasure of meeting Kevin, and he very kindly signed one of our office chairs. With his trademark sense of humour, he told us we were the only people in the world with a Kevin Keegan-signed office chair! ⚽🪑
