What is Pride?
Pride is the celebration of authenticity and equality. It encourages individuals to embrace their sexual orientation and gender identity openly without fear or prejudice. People come together to celebrate love, friendship, and show how far LGBTQ+ rights have come, as well as how there is still important work to be done.

Pride is celebrated in June to honour the anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, which were important protests that changed gay rights for people worldwide in 1969.

Pride is all about being proud of who you are no matter who you love.
