It pains me to have to post this, but after 10+ years of trading in Oban, that there are people who either have never been in Button Nose Gift Boutique or who don’t bother coming in because they wrongly assume we are a baby shop.
So, in spite of a sign at the top of Airds crescent depicting WHAT we sell,In spite of CONSTANT advertising, In spite of two big windows dedicated to NON baby items …..we are still finding this is the case.
In order to continue trading we need support from you all, we are not expensive, we have a large range of gorgeous gifts and we gift wrap free of charge.
We employ local staff who depend on their jobs, we offer great customer service but we don’t sell tartan tat, because everything is sourced with local people in mind.
We raise amazing amounts for local charities and we rarely refuse requests for raffle donations.
All local independent shops need your support, we are not here just for Christmas or when the item you ordered online hasn’t arrived on time.
We support you so please support us.
Use us or lose us.

Cats Protection on Mull, have advised that after emptying their charity box in Button Nose the amount raised by our customers was £45.88.
This is mainly from the donations and sales of our paperback books. Thank you to everyone who donates and buys these books, all the money is given to local charities.

We were delighted to receive this lovely thoughtful card from Sarah at Oban and Lorn Dementia Support Group, and absolutely delighted to see how much we raised in our collection can. £140.82 is a phenomenal amount and we really appreciate everyone who donates books and those who buy them. As you can see from this lovely letter, our local charities really do benefit from your support.
