2025 marks 40 years of making pots, I started out in 1985 as a 16 year old apprentice at Appin pottery and spent two short spells at Winchcombe pottery as part of my training and since 1988 I have been here at Argyll pottery .

For over 40 years I have stayed true to my self and the tradition I follow where pots are made to a high standard and priced at a point where folk can use them day in and day out .

For over 40 years I have been making pots that folk use in their everyday lives. My woodfired pots are not all about how they are fired , more its about giving the pots a gentle warmth to them but not to the extent that the firing is more important than the pot.
