Tailored Solutions for Privacy and Challenging Ground
Every property has its unique challenges, and this recent project is a great example of how we custom-build our products to solve them.
The Brief:
Our customer needed entrance gates that would provide total privacy from passing pedestrians. Because the property is in a highly exposed, windy area, the gates needed to be exceptionally strong. To add to the complexity, the driveway had a steep slope, meaning standard off-the-shelf gates simply would not work.
The Solution:
Flat Top Dartington Gates: We manufactured and installed a heavy-duty pair of these classic gates, specifically cut at an angle to perfectly follow the slope of the ground.
Built to Last: Constructed from robust, pressure-treated softwood and secured with heavy-duty galvanised ironwork to easily withstand the high winds.
Matching Larch Fencing: To complete the boundary, the customer wanted to replace the adjoining fence line to seamlessly match existing fencing at the rear of her property. We sourced and installed beautiful Larch cladding fencing to tie the entire look together.

This recent order included two distinct styles from our pedestrian gate range:
A pair of Keason pedestrian gates, expertly fitted with planed, treated posts and a secure top bar for added structural integrity.
A classic Flat Top Taw pedestrian gate, providing a clean, traditional look that is perfect for everyday garden access.
To guarantee maximum longevity and protection against the elements, all the gates and posts were constructed using premium pressure-treated softwood. Both builds were then completed with heavy-duty galvanised ironwork to ensure reliable, rust-resistant operation year after year.

We recently completed a stunning new installation showcasing the natural beauty and exceptional durability of Iroko hardwood.
Every element of this project was built to last and tailored for a flawless finish. Here is what we crafted and supplied for this property:
A beautiful pair of Sweeping Top Cottage entrance gates, completed with premium black ironwork for a classic, secure finish.
Two matching Iroko posts, perfectly planed and detailed with elegant round tops.
A custom TGV (Tongue and Groove) panel, crafted from matching Iroko hardwood to seamlessly tie the entranceway together.
To enhance the striking grain of the timber and ensure long-lasting defence against the elements, all the Iroko hardwood was expertly treated with two coats of Barrettine Armourflex UV protection oil.
