The Pump and Pedal is a Pub and Bike Shop set on the fringes of the Dartmoor National Park. Championing Local producers from across Devon, The Pump and Pedal is an ideal stopping place for cyclists, walkers and anyone passing on the A30. Situated on the Lands End - John O'Groats and Devon Coast to Coast cycle routes, our team of highly skilled in house cycle mechanics from Okehampton Cycles, are ready to help you fix any problems you may have as well as having a wide range of new bikes for sale.

We're looking for a great act to perform in our beer garden over the Bank Holiday weekend and we'd love to hear from you!

We're looking for an evening performance on one of the following dates:
🎸 Friday 28th 🎸 Saturday 29th 🎸 Sunday 30th August

If you're available, please message our page with:

💷 Your fee for a standard evening set (typically 2 x 45-minute sets)

Our live music evenings are always relaxed and friendly, with great pizzas, a well-stocked bar, and a lovely beer garden in the heart of Dartmoor.

What a fantastic evening at Pump & Pedal!

A massive thank you to The 3rd Wheel for another brilliant evening of live acoustic music — you were fantastic! 🎸👏

And of course, a huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported the evening. It was lovely to see the beer garden filled with friends, families and music lovers enjoying the sunshine, good food, drinks and great tunes. ☀️🍕🍺

We really appreciate everyone who turned out and helped make it such a great night. ❤️

Experience is welcome but not essential — full training will be provided. We’re mainly looking for people who are hard-working, friendly and comfortable working in a busy café environment.

🎺 What a fantastic day! 🎺

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make Bandamonium 2026 such a wonderful event.

Firstly, thank you to the organisers for all the hard work behind the scenes to bring another brilliant Bandamonium to life, and to all of the bands who travelled from across the country and filled venues around the area with fantastic music throughout the day. The atmosphere was incredible.

To everyone who came along to The Pump & Pedal, thank you for joining us, supporting the event and creating such a brilliant buzz. Seeing the beer garden packed with people enjoying great music, good food and a drink in the sunshine made all the hard work worthwhile.

And finally, a massive thank you to our amazing Pump & Pedal team. It was one of our busiest days of the year, and they worked tirelessly to keep the coffees pouring, the pizzas baking, the breakfasts cooking and the drinks flowing. We couldn’t be prouder of the way they rose to the occasion.

Events like this are only possible because of the support of so many people, and we’re grateful to every single one of you.

We hope you all had a fantastic day, and we look forward to doing it all again next year! 🎺☕🍕🍺

Our beer garden is looking its best, the stage is set, and we’re ready to welcome 14 fantastic brass bands for a full day of live music at The Pump & Pedal.

Whether you fancy popping in for a tune and a coffee, joining us for lunch, or settling in to enjoy the whole day, we’d love to see you.

Feel free to bring your own comfy chair if you’d like to make yourself at home and soak up the atmosphere while the bands perform throughout the day.

Live music from 11am until 6:30pm but we're open from 10am until 8pm, so whether you're joining us for breakfast before the first band, staying all afternoon, or relaxing with a drink after the final performance, we've got you covered.
