Some highlights from the City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Entrant and Entry Controller for Confined Spaces (Medium Risk) (6160-09) course at Rig Systems last week.

Over the two-day programme, training included:

✔️ Pre-entry procedures, risk assessments and permit-to-work systems
✔️ Gas detection and atmospheric monitoring
✔️ Safe use of PPE, harnesses and access equipment
✔️ Entry and exit procedures for medium risk confined spaces
✔️ Entry Controller responsibilities, maintaining communications and controlling entry operations
✔️ ELSA drills with gas monitors alarming

The course combined classroom learning with realistic practical scenarios. Well done to everyone who successfully completed the course!
