Yesterday, we sat and listened for 5 hours to various levels of Audio Note amplification (and DACs too). It started sounding really good, and only got better and better as we progressed, to the point where it was almost disbelief. Audio Note sound isn't anything to do with Hi-Fi, but it's got everything to do with music!! It delivers emotion and "feel" like nothing else we have come across. Hearing is believing.

During yesterday's 5 hour listening session, we covered all bases from Black Sabbath to Ryan Adams, from classical, to jazz. The system has no preference, it simply plays you the instruments and performances as they would have really sounded in person! Listening to Joan Shelley was like having her sat in the room in front of us.

Today we had the great pleasure of installing some new kit for one of our most loyal customers, Chris Moore over in Conwy. Sometimes, if you take the time and trouble to make sure everything is right in the system, you really can get some astonishing results. It's why we have been offering a bespoke (and free) installation service for 40+ years. Because we believe that we know how to get the very best out of our customers systems. Today was no exception.....this system was genuinely stunning!

One of our dearest customers Dave Matthews has been getting arty with a camera and captured some wonderful images of his full Audio Note system. He has been shopping with us since 1983, and tomorrow we will be happily installing his new M5 preamp!

The Manchester Music Scene lost a true pioneer yesterday in Mani. If it wasn't for Mani, I don't think I'd have picked up a bass like I did as a young kid in Manchester - especially not a Rickenbacker bass! He made everything look cool, his basslines are melodic and inventive. There can't be many basslines that can unite 70,000 people in a field to jump up and down and sing the bassline itself at the top of their lungs!! What an icon and what a lovely human too - he'll definitely be missed!
