Well, that’s us done for another week! 🎣

It’s been a busy one, especially with all the maggots. The riddles have certainly been earning their keep, so it’s time to give them—and us—a well-deserved break!

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us this week. It’s been brilliant seeing so many familiar faces, along with plenty of new ones coming through the door.

Plenty in stock, guys and girls!

I’ve bought them like everyone bought toilet roll during Covid… so unless the whole of Shaw decides to go fishing at once, we should be absolutely fine! 😂

The bait room is stacked, the trays are full, and we’ve got plenty of fresh maggots ready for the weekend and another delivery coming tomorrow.

Pop in and get stocked up — no fighting in the aisles, and definitely no need to hide a packet under your coat for later! 🎣

It seems our previous post about the recent UK maggot shortage — and asking everyone to be respectful to our staff — may have accidentally given some people the impression that we didn’t have any bait in stock.

That’s definitely not the case!

We currently have fresh maggots available, with further deliveries arriving this week to keep us fully stocked.

So there’s no need to panic, ration your pints or start digging the garden — we’ve got you covered! 😂

I'll be popping into the shop tomorrow between 10am and 12pm to catch up on a few jobs. Normally we keep the doors shut on a Sunday if we're in, but after the week we've had with the maggot shortage, I know some of you might still be struggling for bait.

If you're heading fishing and need maggots or any other bait, just drop us a message and I'll happily sort you out while I'm there.

After days of rationing, rumours, panic, fly-house drama and enough questions to make us consider turning the phone off…

Fresh stock delivered today is now in the shop and ready to go.

We’d love to say normal service has resumed, but after the last couple of weeks we’re not tempting fate — so grab what you need while they’re here!

Please approach the fridge calmly. No pushing, no screaming and absolutely no performing an exorcism in the bait room. 😂
