Otley Victorian Christmas Fayre Est. 1985 the Victorian Fayre is run by local people to promote Otley and encourage visitors The first Fayre was held in 1985 and was an immediate success.

Otley Victorian Fayre was originally the brainchild of Otley Chamber of Commerce. They wanted to give the town’s shops a boost in the run up to Christmas and chose the Victorian theme because it was in the Victorian era that Christmas, as we now know it, really started. Within a couple of years the Chamber of Trade realised that it had become too large for them to continue running and so a volunta

ry committee was formed. Over the years the volunteers have come and gone. All have worked tirelessly to ensure that the Fayre stays true to the aims that were set down by its founders which is to promote Otley and encourage visitors to our beautiful town.

🎄 WE WANT YOU! – OTLEY VICTORIAN FAYRE 2026 🎄

Plans are well underway for Otley Victorian Fayre on Sunday 6th December 2026, and we’re looking for even more wonderful people to help us make this year’s Fayre a day to remember!

🛍️ TRADERS
We still have opportunities available for traders! Whether you sell handmade gifts, crafts, festive treats, food, homeware, clothing or something completely different, we’d love to hear from you.

Already applied? If we have received your completed application and you have paid for your pitch, your position is secure – there is no need to apply again.

🙋‍♀️ VOLUNTEERS – WE NEED YOU!
The Victorian Fayre simply couldn’t happen without volunteers, and we still need plenty of extra pairs of hands on the day. Even if you can only spare a few hours, we would be incredibly grateful for your help.

🎶 ENTERTAINERS & PERFORMERS
We’d also LOVE to hear from anyone who could help us fill Otley with entertainment throughout the day. We’re looking for choirs, bands, musicians, street performers, entertainers and face painters who would like to get involved.

📸 PHOTOGRAPHERS & VIDEOGRAPHERS
We’d love some talented photographers and videographers to help us capture the atmosphere, entertainment and all those little moments that make the Fayre so special.

🎅 AND VERY IMPORTANTLY… WE NEED SANTA!

We are desperately hoping Father Christmas might have a little availability in his extremely busy December diary to visit Otley! 🎅❤️

🎄 Calling All Traders! 🎄

Applications for the Otley Victorian Fayre 2026 are now being processed.

We would particularly encourage previous traders to return their application packs as soon as possible. Returning traders will be given priority where possible; however, pitches cannot be held indefinitely and allocations will begin once completed applications are received.

New traders are also welcome to register their interest and will be added to our waiting list should pitches become available.

🎄 Otley Victorian Fayre Update 🎄

Following last night's committee meeting, we're delighted to share that it was a very positive and productive evening. A strong and enthusiastic committee is beginning to come together, and we're hopeful that we now have the foundations in place to ensure the Otley Victorian Fayre continues to thrive for many years to come.

There was a real sense of community spirit in the room, with plenty of ideas being discussed and a shared determination to make this year's event one to remember.

As planning gets underway, we're also looking for additional volunteers to help both in the lead-up to the event and on the day itself. Whether you can spare a few hours or would like to take on a more active role, we'd love to hear from you.

We're particularly keen to hear from:

🙋 Event day volunteers
🎄 Anyone with skills, experience or enthusiasm who would like to get involved

The Fayre has always been a community event, run by the community for the community, and we'd love as many people as possible to be part of its future.

After many tex messages of thank you’s, question of when, where, how what do you need!!!

The 39th Otley Victorian Fayre has a new lead or leaders. However as your know The Fayre is a Community fayre and to pull this off we need your help still.

I/ we will be hold an open meeting for everyone to come along, giving you the chance to input new ideas.To put your self forward to bring this fabulous day.. on the 6th December 2026

Important Notice.

To all our supporters retailers and Customers.

As you may be aware, the annual Otley Victorian Fayre has been a long-standing event, supported brilliantly by, Stall holders, visitors, and local retailers and volunteers who have ensured the day has run smoothly over many years, with lots of fun and laughter along the way.

Sadly, we will be unable to organise the Fayre this year, due to a lack of support locally. The planning and coordination that goes into organising the day is significant, and without the right level of support we will be unable to commit this year.

We hope you will understand the decision which has been a difficult one to make, however it is the right one for all concerned.

Thank you for your support throughout the years, and of course for the fun and laughter it has brought to many.

6 sleeps to go till the The Otley Victorian Fayre, on the 7th of December from 12 noon. We have so much for you to enjoy including our local Primary School Choirs, The Yorkshire Volunteer Band, morris Dancers, a Juggler and Stilt Walker, Love Pop Choir, Birds of Prey, Leeds Pipe Band, Inspiration Dance as well as Donkey rides, a Steam Train, Punch and Judy and a Funfair. Plus a wide variety of shopping/food stalls and a chance to meet the man in the red suit. This will all begin with a parade led by The Yorkshire Volunteer Band. So make your Christmas memories with us at Otley Victorian Fayre, 7th December at 12noon.
