The market is now being run for the community by Otters Carnival Club, the only carnival club based in Ottery. A bit about the Community Market.....

It was set up by Sustainable Ottery, then run for the community by Ottery United Reformed Church for many years, More recently, it was run for a year as a fundraiser for local charity FORCE, and is now being managed on behalf of the community by Otters Carnival Club. The Market celebrates local food producers and high quality craftspeople, giving them an outlet for their products. It is a place for the local community and visitors to meet up once a month, enjoy tasty refreshments and indulge in guilt-free retail therapy by reducing their food miles and ensuring their money stays in the local economy. So please, come and visit and see the wonderful things on offer.

Markets take place at the Institute, Yonder Street, Ottery St Mary from 9.30 - 12.30 (stallholders can set up from 8.30 am.) All enquiries for availability and booking tables should please go to Si on 07581 174586 or email [email protected]

Do feel free to message the Page with any questions, but be aware that we cannot take bookings and do not normally have information about availability. We will post Facebook events for each market a week or two beforehand, and will invite stallholders to post pictures, links and information about their products. Please do take advantage of this!
