Looking back through old photos, and I found this🥺. This is the very first photo ever taken of me working with Hama beads. I don’t even know how old I am here, but looking at that focused face, it’s clear I found my passion early!
Fast forward to today... In exactly two months, on July 1st, I turn 18.
If I'm being completely honest, it’s terrifying. I won’t lie, I have no idea what my future holds or really what I'm doing right now. While most people my age might be planning parties or looking at universities, my reality looks a bit different.
My life is still very much centred around the hands on care of my grandparents. It’s been a tough week. Grandma has had a significant decline with her Alzheimer’s, which is heartbreaking to witness. And it looks like Grandad will be getting a hoist soon. His legs just can’t hold him in his standing aid anymore. It’s hard to accept, but it's the only choice now. We are trying to keep a positive spin on it, even if the hoist is just to get him out of bed and onto a sun lounger in the garden, a bit of fresh air will do him the world of good.
Right now, I’m taking some quiet time to organize my studio before I head off tomorrow for my weekend sleepover at their house. I need some TikTok content so I’m going to do a studio tour and organising video but I might do it after my birthday as I am hoping to get a few bits with any money I get.
On the business front, keeping busy is what keeps me sane!
• I have some eBay listings ending very soon, so go grab a bargain while you can!
• I'm happy to say I’m all up to date on current orders.
• I'm still struggling through a custom cat portrait. I’ve realized digital pixel art is so much easier for me than actual paint. painting requires matching so many colours and I’ll admit, my colour theory sucks! 😂 I prefer paint pens for physical art, but I’m limited by the colours I have. It's a work in progress!
Going forward, to make things simpler, I will be sharing my Linktree instead of just my website link. It has all my platforms listed in one place and I’ll update it as things change.
Thank you to everyone who supports me, whether it’s by buying my art or just offering a kind word. It means more than you know.
I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday and has some lovely fun plans for the Bank Holiday!
