Andi, we've been learning a little about your sweet village. To start, that the place-name Lindfield is derived from the Old English linden + feld, meaning 'open land where lime-trees grow'

And there are Royal connections in your village too, as Elizabeth I had a country cottage in Lindfield, and a neighbouring cottage was used as a hunting lodge by her father, Henry VIII.

Although Lindfield has suffered from loss of biodiversity, flooding, traffic congestions and poor air quality, the community is managing to maintain strategic green gaps between Lindfield and surrounding villages. The community heroes supporting rewilding and local projects, help create green corridors and reintroduce saplings in the area, and this needs to be celebrated! Among them are Fairer World Lindfield who do active advocacy for sustainability, recycling and carbon reduction. And then there's YOU! Helping the locals to reduce their plastic footprint with your brilliant store! Thanks for choosing SESI to support your refill journey. We hope you enjoy your present! 🌙🌻💚

Here’s our April refill stats in all their glory. And thanks to you lovely lot we’re seeing lots of fantastic refills happening here - 1950 total refills last month! That includes 330 refills from our brilliant suppliers Sesi Detergent Refill❤️

Don’t forget if you get caught short without a container, we have lots of spare containers donated by our trusty team of volunteers which are clean and ready to use. We also have paper bags for dry goods.

🥁🥁🥁 117 refills this month! The highest monthly total so far this year! Bringing the year to date total up to 318. So a big whoop whoop for all you fab refillers!👏👏👏

And guess what we're nearly at 2000 refills to date😍, please help me keep those Zero Waste refill totals rising 🙏 Current total is 1993-Ooooo so close😅!!!!

You are the winners of March 2026 SESI Refill Poster raffle! 🌟🌟🌟🌟

A massive thank you to the community in and around Lydney for supporting this refill network and our consciously made products.

Lidney has a history of trade with cities like Bristol, and ports along the River Severn, and the Scilly Isles, exporting coal, iron, timber, bark and tinplate, especially from the 18th century.

Fast forward to the 21st century, and the good energy spreading across towns like Lidney in Gloucestershire along the River Severn in the Forest of Dean, is directed towards *rewilding*. Have you heard of The Rewild Project CIC based in the Forest of Dean? They work under the banner of Radical Regenerative Rewilders. They are community lead and since 2015, their mission is to "revive traditional land-based skills and reconnect people to living in harmony with nature through community growing projects...". They work with grassroot organisations like: Forest of Dean Food Hub, Transition Towns, Blakeney Hill Growers, Angus Buchanan trust, Dean Heritage Museum. Berry Hill community Orchard, Shift Bristol, Feed Bristol, Be Wilder.

Thank you Forest Friendly for the work we do together to help reduce waste, plastic footprint and carbon footprint. There is so much yet to do and collectively, we can do it, we are doing it.
