Just playing around with these lovely frames from hobby craft. Will use the results at the Cam Valley Art Trail on the first weekend in November. The first one represents air with hexagonal based hanging himmeli and a flying bumble bee. This links to the second which represents earth with a nice green base, flowers and butterflies, which of course start their live cycle on the ground. Finally water, with attractive bull rushes and dragonfly looking for a nice place to lay their larvae. Very mixed straw skills will give me plenty to talk about

My next workshop is 2-3 pm at Conygre Hall Timsbury as part of the Cam Valley Arts Trail. There are just two places remaining. At this event I shall be introducing participants to straw marquetry - a beautiful craft, rarely practiced in the UK.
