In his new memoir, The Q***rest of Folk: A life in television, Russell takes us on a whistle-stop tour through a dazzling 40-year career, from his early days working on soaps and children’s shows (including Chucklevision!) through to the giddy heights of relaunching Doctor Who and bringing q***r relationships onto the mainstream screen.
Expect an evening full of behind-the-scenes anecdotes and new revelations as Britain's foremost TV writer and showrunner takes us into the rooms where it all happened; from the spark of an idea and the day-to-day business of meetings, to the creative arguments and the scenes that changed television forever.
