My heart aches for these tulips. Their milky, satin soft petals furling and dancing to show golden stamen. So outrageously beautiful, yet head bowed in modesty. Literally, my heart aches.
These are real tulips, semi double, grown by in East Lothian. We'll soon be adding them to our webshop for Mothering Sunday (if I can bare to part with any!).

We've never been 'into' Valentines Day. It ticks quite a few of our 'bad' boxes; consumerism, unseasonal produce, flower miles, waste, hype, so on. BUT, the last few years have made me want to appreciate life and love at all opportunities. So, we have a little offering for this February 14th; for your galpal, bestie, neighbour you rely on, your other half, a gift from your dog (who would totally get you a gift if they had thumbs), a treat to look forwards to, a reminder that love is there, waiting, being patient, in all its forms.

Those four safely guarded weeks have started. That little snippet of the year where we turn off the emails, turn down the pace, and tune out of the to-do list. A time for reflecting, digesting, and planning. It seems indulgent to take four weeks out of work, but it really takes that long to decompress, get your feet back on the ground, with a clear head open to ideas an opportunities, ready to start the season afresh.
I'll still be here, in my own time, sharing some things I love over these wispy January days.

We'll be back on the inbox when the snowdrops appear in early February.

A new dawn, a new year. We hope it has been a beautiful start for you. We've been a bit slow off the mark on the socials, but we're OK with that. January is our time to recharge our bodies and minds and slow down. It's such an important time in our calendar, allowing us the opportunity to reflect and digest on our work and plans, as well as catching up on life. So, January probably will be a little slow. That's how we like it.

Sending slow Sunday vibes out into the world.

It's that point in the season when I'm not sure what day it is, what date it is, how many wreaths we've made, and how many are left to make. But I DO know that on Sunday, we have a wonderful wreath workshop planned with , which closes our season.
I adore Guardswell, and their ethos. They were the first wedding venue here to ban unsustainable floral practices šŸ‘, a bold move I have so much respect for.

We'll be designing in the glasshouse, with our favourite fresh and dried botanicals, warmed with homemade muller cider from local apples, firepits and tasty festive nibbles.
We couldn't ask for a better way to end the season!

There might be one or two tiny spaces left, if you've not got your wreath on yet x
