Every Quaich starts somewhere, this shows the start of the thought process for a simple design, the size is optimised to fit comfortably in the hand , the lugs ( handles are styled) the bowl size and depth are decided and then of course the timber is selected looking at how it can best be used. Finally it is finished with food safe oil and then with our own unique blend of oil and waxes to bring out the beauty of the grain and to protect the wood from what it is you will be drinking from it to celebrate
