Come and make your Christmas wreath with me,
Go into your garden, or a friends with permission obv and see what you can find, if you haven’t much then take a trip to your local florist and ask for a selection of strong mixed foliage, failing that you can snip from your hedgerows and common land, providing its only for you and you only take what you need. A mix of foliage, twigs, berries, grasses anything that takes your fancy. Take them home, put on your festive records and pour yourself a drink 🥃, whatever is your tipple. Tie two pieces of foliage together end and begins of each and do that a couple of times to make a continuous strand that you can tie together to form a circle ⭕️ ish, then add on your other bits of twigs, foliage and keep adding them in where you want them to go, always try to follow in the same direction but try looking at the foliage and see how it grows and go with it rather than against it, I’m using willow, beech, ivy, twigs with cones, and some grasses and berries and I’ve made the base first with the twigs and then added onto that, once your happy and you feel you have finished ( often less is more) think of negative space and balance before stuffing it full, add your bow or finishing touches and 🥳you got yourself your very own hand made Christmas wreath.

Wow what a beautiful day, this gorgeous couples photos have been sat in my inbox from for ages now and I’m finally getting round to posting them which is dreadful, note to self- should have done it sooner, but when I’ve got a spare 5 minutes then I’ve got them done. Emily and her partner Scott booked me almost 2 years before their wedding and came all the way from Singapore to the beautiful Lake District to tie the knot at one of my favourite venues , I love the place, the vibe, the views, the people, everything is just perfect. They had the most amazing wedding and a little bit of rain just before Emily walked down her woodland, candle lit isle by wasn’t going to spoil their day, Scott cried when he saw his beautiful bride, they both cried when they saw their wedding breakfast setting, happy tears I might add, all their months of preparation, emails across the seas coming together in one beautiful day, congratulations and have the most wonderful Christmas you too as man and wife, Emily and Scott flowers

It’s the season for dried flowers, I offer these when my plot is sleeping 😴, it’s a good way of keeping it seasonal, using what I have grown throughout the year and it’s also a lovely keepsake for your other half, friend or even just a gift to yourself, they can come in all shapes and sizes, everyone is different, bespoke, artisan and completely unique, made just for you, using eco friendly techniques and my own florals so no air miles either 😊.

Not very exciting pictures 😂 but I said that I wasn’t going to buy anymore - well I’m sorry to say, I’ve bought 15 more, that’s not a lot by other growers selections, Jude of and Emma are just 2 I can name in Cumbria alone, but if you go on the website you will find over a 1000 growers of flowers up and down the country all contributing to the growing and arranging of British grown seasonal flowers. Anyway they are on the way to sprouting nicely and next month Omg June they will be going into their new areas ready for your fabulous weddings and events, weather permitting obv, Sarah

Happy Christmas everyone, it’s Christmas Eve and I’ve been quiet here on the insta for a little while, it’s a family and friends time of year so I’m keeping off the internet for a little while until the new year, but I would like to take the opportunity to say Thank you to each and every one of you, to all the fabulous couples that I have had the pleasure of flowering each of your personal wedding days and allowing me to share in creating your special memories, it has been truly wonderful. Thank you for all the support from the other small family businesses that are involved with my little business, to the wonderful owners of beautiful holiday accommodations that I supply and continue to.

These wonderful photos (together with some of my own) came back a little while ago. Izzy and James had such a fun and colourful day at Sharon and Hogs venue which fitted the atmosphere perfectly, Annabel made sure everything ran like clockwork- coordinator- she is the best, styling - table and isle florals by the fabulous Janet, with her wing woman Julie and help from Deborah, the food was from Karen Rhodes- par excellence as always, even the coffee and pastries were served on a landy - not seen that before, we were freelancing for Janet, myself and sue, making two huge foam free floral chandeliers (yes it can be done - NO FOAM) and myself doing the personal florals, Carla provided these and more amazing photos together with velvet cow doing the videos, with lighting by Eden event hire, what a wonderful day it was.
