The deodorant sticks have gone up a size. More expensive, yes… but per gramme? Cheaper!
They were £7 for 60g, now £10 for 90g.

One of the simplest cleaning solutions you can make is good ol’ bicarb and washing-up liquid. It’s an excellent little paste for lifting stains on fabrics, carpets and so forth. Now, there are acidic cleaners and alkaline cleaners in this world and bicarbonate of soda is one of the latter*. If you remember your school chemistry, acid neutralises alkali and vice versa, so if you were to use a citrus-scented washing-up liquid you’d neutralise and therefore remove one of the benefits of the bicarb. It won’t make it useless, it’ll still act as a mild abrasive to lift stains and dirt but it could be doing so much more!.

Hence, we now offer… unscented washing-up liquid! Tah Dah!!

*same goes for sodiums carbonate and percarbonate

Presents!! Some lovely friends have baked some oat and raisin cookies for our little sample section during The Great Big Green Week. They’re entirely vegan and oh my days they are good!!!

This is one of over 1,700 500ml washing-up liquid bottles saved from being wasted by shoppers using our Penrith and Kendal stores, over the course of just three months. A fairly standard feature of any kitchen and one of the easiest things to start with when switching to refilling your containers. In fact, no need to buy anything fancy… just refill this! (or one you have already, as I need this for social media purposes 😉).
