Could’ve (should’ve) prioritised buying a not-haunted printer (see the grid a few posts back if you don’t know what I’m on about), but I feel like this was 10000% a better investment.

- did you check the spelling of Fandango as many times making this as I did ordering it?! Obvs it’s perfect, but the pressure is real- I lost sleep worrying that I might have spelled it wrong, even though 2 of us checked it multiple times 😂

Just a middle aged woman making greeting cards…

I’m not gonna lie, when I say I make greeting cards, people immediately conjure up an image of me sitting at my kitchen table, crafting with my children.

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with that- I’ve crafted at my kitchen table LOADS and I love making things with my kids.

It’s just not what I do in my day job.

There are way more lasers and blades and tools around than you’d expect for a middle aged woman making cards.

You know those jobs you start and then regret instantly?!

That’s been my last 48 hours.

2 of our 3 laser cutters decided not to play yesterday so we had to open them up, take them apart, deep clean them and then somehow put everything back together again in the right place. It’s like the least fun jigsaw puzzle ever.

All whilst our one remaining laser carries on like a trooper because we’re crazy busy at the moment.

It’s the side of the job I dread the most- laser issues. Well, that and taxes, obvs.

Thankfully we have a few very clever friends and family members who know lots about fixing things and have been able to get us back up and running between them. Major appreciation for Steve and Harley- you are both total heroes

Otherwise I’d still be sitting outside the studio having a little ugly cry.

Anyone else feeling ridiculously excited about the ‘ber months?

Sure, summer is lovely with her hazy, lazy beach days and warm evenings…

But there’s something really quite magical about autumn’s rich colours and crisp air.

If anyone needs me I’ll be lighting my scented candles, drinking a pumpkin spiced latte, cosying up under a blanket and rewatching Gilmore Girls.
