It's like we've come out from under a cloud. The scaffolding is finally down and the Egyptian House is looking fresh and gorgeous again.

If you'd like to see the flats inside, the The Landmark Trust are holding two open days on the 25th and 26th of July, come on down and have a nosey!

While the outside of the shop is clad in scaffolding and sadness, we've been super busy on the inside. We've long sold our offcuts of soap in little glassine bags, but we've now improved the looks and the weight of them. These little stacks are now 300g of soap in three flavours for just £10.

With a job this size and this complexity comes a few surprises. We just have to roll with it I'm afraid.

Before the huge painting job can start on the front of our magnificent home, it has to be cleaned. It's a really messy job, so we're going to have to give them some time without us underfoot. So here's what we've worked out with the team here, we will have to close at strange times this week, but here's when we'll be open. It will all be worth it, we know you'll understand.

Don't forget, we still do Click and Collect and we'll phone you when your order's ready.

We're getting a facelift. A huge one, on the whole building, inside and out.

The restoration of our lovely Egyptian House will take a few months, it's a massive job. So this means a bit of disruption for a while I'm afraid. Work starts next week with the scaffolding installation. Getting a building like this ready for this sort of detailed work will be quite the project.

So we'll be in the shop on Monday getting orders sorted and sent as usual. But on Tuesday the shop will be shut while the scaffolding goes up. We'll keep you updated on progress, all we know right now is that it's due to come down again in June, so our pretty new face will be ready for Mazey. Wish us luck!!
