📢 Important Announcement: Tay Larder Closing on October 31st 📢

We have an announcement that comes with heavy hearts—after much thought, we have decided to permanently close Tay Larder on October 31st.

We’ve come a long way since we opened the shop three and a half years ago. Along the way, we’ve built new relationships, met so many lovely people, and made true friends. To our incredible community—especially our regulars, those who supported us from day one, and our amazing suppliers—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have all been the heart and soul of Tay Larder, making our mission possible. 💚♻️

We have worked tirelessly to make things work, but despite our best efforts, it seems it’s just not possible to achieve right now. With our lease ending, ongoing economic pressures, and the demands of family life, we’ve decided to take a step back for now.

While this is goodbye for now, we’re taking this time to rest, refocus, and hopefully find a new opportunity to reopen in an even better location in the future. 🌱 Please stop by before October 31st to stock up, say goodbye, and celebrate everything we’ve built together.

What a Dansala we had today. We served about 200 people today since 12:30pm to 6:30pm and it was amazing!!

Massive thanks to our lovely team .tuskers, especially the idea of the dansala “generosity stall” was from our head chef Angelo.

Another big thanks to the St Ninian’s church and the congregation. You have been very supportive and welcoming in everything we do.

Big thanks to Wendy who’s a member of the church and your kindness and support have been massive since day one!

Massive thanks to Harshani and Amal who helped us on the day to do everything from morning till the locking up the church. You guys are amazing!

And finally a big thanks to everyone who came along to eat, chat and even to say hello. It would’ve been a waste of time if you all didn’t turn up. So, we appreciate your efforts to pop in today.

Kinross Spring Market this Saturday (25 May, 10am to 3pm at the Market Park) with lots of fabulous stalls, entertainment on the Haki Access Solutions stage and the Kinross Beer Garden will be open!

Vesak Dansala, Perth

We are hosting a small dansala at the St. Ninian’s Cathedral, Perth on the 26th of May and you all are welcome!

Dansala “Generosity stalls” is a place where you get things for free especially cooked food and in Sri Lanka during the Vesak festival there are so many of these across the country.

This is a great opportunity for everyone to get together and enjoy some amazing Sri Lankan food and culture. Just bring yourselves and celebrate with us.

Bookings now open for our summertime Sri Lankan dining and cooking experience at the beautiful . This is your chance to experience some traditional Sri Lankan flavours and the way of cooking. We will fully immerse you into Sri Lankan culture and traditions. With your help we will be making everything from the scratch and have a sit down meal after.

We have limited space for this session and please book as early as possible to secure your space.

Look at all the fantastic stalls that will be in Aberfeldy Town Square next Sunday (5th May) from 10am to 2pm. No storms in the forecast this month so see you there! ☀️

What an event it was!! We cooked, laughed and enjoyed a fantastic traditional Sri Lankan three course lunch.

Everyone who attended was absolutely phenomenal and thank you for supporting our small business. We had a great time cooking for you and you helped us to make this Mother’a Day dining experience an extra special one.

As always thanks to Gill for letting us use her amazing kitchen studio and we look forward to many more of these in the future.

Tbh these pictures don’t justify the time we had but it does bring the memories back.
