Following demand we have decided to also reinstate the Wednesday evening class 7-9.

We will also be running. Classes on Thursday 10-12 and 2-4. These classes have limited spaces, so book quickly if you’re interested…..

This last fortnight has been a little “trying” and getting the shop sorted hasn’t always been a priority.

We want to get the final section of floor cleared - we will reopen on Friday 17th July. Sorry and wait till you see the photos…..

Don’t forget, we have our monthly Mending Café in the Lend & Mend Hub at the AK Bell Library tomorrow. Join us between 11am and 2pm and bring those summer clothes that need a little freshening up, or maybe try your hand at embroidery and cover that coffee stain that just won’t come out with some creative stitching.

Sashiko is the ancient Japanese art of stitching two pieces of fabric together with a running stitch to enhance their beauty and make them more resistant to wear and tear. Create a stunning piece of upcycled fashion in this workshop at the Lend and Mend Hub on the first floor of the AK Bell Library. 🤞 Don't forget to bring an item of clothing for repair.

The session is free and suitable for 16+. Before attending the session, all participants must complete a short Lend and Mend induction to become familiar with the space and equipment. Finding all sorts of treasure in this big tidy up (although the floor still appears to be awol). I have metre and 2 metre packs of this lovely grey Celtic fabric, it will be on sale at £5/m.

We reopen on 17th July. What else will we have found by then????
