Gordon
It is with enormous sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gordon Lewis Smith, who passed away at Ninewells Hospital on Saturday, 8th August, aged 75, surrounded by his loving family and his two best friends.
Gordon was a much-loved and adored husband to Linda, her best friend and the love of her life. He was a wonderful stepfather to Mark, Rich and Chris, and a much-loved father-in-law to Ashley, Pam and Lynn.
A very special grandad, affectionately known as Gord, to Chloe, Tommy, Freddie, Archie, Innes, Daisy and Tilly, Gordon was loved enormously by his family. He was a kind, generous and loving man who was happiest surrounded by the people he loved. His warmth, humour and unforgettable character touched the lives of so many, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Gordon leaves behind a lifetime of wonderful memories that will be treasured forever. Although our hearts are broken at losing him, we feel incredibly lucky to have loved him and to have shared so many precious years with him.
The funeral service will take place at Perth Crematorium on Monday, 24th August at 12 noon, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited.
Family flowers only, please. A retiring collection will be taken in aid of RNLI and Cancer Research UK.
In true Gordon style, we would love everyone to wear bright colours as we celebrate the wonderful life of a very special man.
