🌹ANNOUNCEMENT: Tis' the end of an era!🌹
After 7 beautiful years, the little Soul Happy Shop will be closing its doors next month! 🙏🏽
This decision hasn’t come lightly. Over the past year, life has shifted in many ways for our team and leadership, bringing new priorities, new directions, and a need to create space for what comes next. Alongside changes within the retail landscape and our current lease too, it feels like the right time to close this chapter …with gratitude.

Soul Happy Shop has always been community-led, and our volunteers have carried so much of the heart of this space. Their time, care, energy and dedication over the years made this place what it was. We are endlessly grateful.
THANKS TO QUEENSGATE
We truly appreciate the kindness and support we’ve received throughout our time there. Having a welcoming home in the heart of the city allowed so many connections, conversations and moments of community to happen over the last 7 years.
THANKS TO OUR SUPPLIERS, CREATIVES & COMMUNITY
Whether you popped in for a gift, attended a workshop or event, created something to share, joined one of our wellbeing or sustainability sessions, supported our youth programmes, or simply stopped by for a cuppa and conversation — thank you for being part of this journey.
DATES TO NOTE
• Final day of sales: Sunday 14th June 2026.⚠️
• Until then, we will continue opening Thursdays, Saturdays and occasional Sundays (keep an eye on socials for updates).
• We’ll also be running clearance sales and discounts on lots of stock over the coming weeks.
• We may share stuff online to sell too. Let’s see what spare time we realistically have.
PACK DOWN & OPTIONAL VOLUNTEER SUPPORT
After closing, we’ll be clearing and packing down the space on:
20th & 27th June 2-5pm, and 4th & 5th July 1-4pm.⚠️
If you’d like to help in any way — tidying, cleaning, lifting, transport, sharing items online, or practical support — we’d hugely appreciate it. Please send us a PM.
This isn’t the end — just the end of a chapter.
As many of you know, our team is moving into a season of transition, reflection, prayer, and reimagining what community, God-conscious living, wellbeing and connection could look like in the future. There are new ideas, dreams and projects quietly taking shape, and we’re excited to see where the next season leads.
(Have you heard of our ‘Rural land vision’ that is brewing too)? 🌱
If you have memories, testimonials or photos you’d like to share with us, we would absolutely love to hear from you. Your stories have been part of the ripple effect this space and souls have created over the years (and they may help us with future funding and ideas etc too). We will also be sharing a survey soon - watch this space.
And we’ll be organising a little social too - PM us if you want to try and come along.
We also know we were never perfect, we made mistakes, (we learnt from some of them😉), we didn’t always get it right, and we are sorry to anyone we created unfair pain to on our personal or organisational journey.
We are sorry also to the many who came and we weren’t open at times, (whilst we know we don’t want to push volunteers to open any more than their capacity allows) we know how frustrating that can be to venture into town and we aren’t open.
Thank you to everyone who helped shape Soul Happy Shop over these past 7 years. The impact of this little space has travelled far beyond its walls, and we’ll carry that with us.🌹
We’ll share more soon.
But for now, we start to officially end this 7 year cycle - and start to integrate and dream together.
