Spotted by a CCTV operator and caught with a stash of Class A drugs in his pocket, a repeat drug dealer is now behind bars.

Hafiz Ullah, 31, was arrested in Peterborough after officers were alerted to suspicious activity on Lincoln Road.

A search uncovered 27 wraps of co***ne, 13 wraps of he**in, two mobile phones and £100 in cash.

Further enquiries revealed messages linked to drug dealing, while a search of his home uncovered more evidence of drug supply, including snap bags and weighing scales.

Despite having previous convictions for drug offences and being on a suspended sentence, Ullah continued to offend.

Following on from an incident last month where a fire engine was stopped from an attending an emergency due to being blocked by obstructive parking in Clarence Road, our PCSOs joined Peterborough City Council parking enforcement officers for patrols of the area. 🚒

92 Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) were issued – 59 by the council and 33 by the police – to cars parked illegally along:
🚗Clarence Road
🚗Gladstone Street
🚗Cromwell Road

This is a great example of partnership working, and we will continue to do these joint patrols when we can! 👏

It was great to be able to visit the summer camps being held by Youth Dreams Project and talk to the children about various topics, including staying safe near water.

Thank you so much for inviting us, it was lovely to meet you all and join in the summer camp fun for the day. 👮

PCSO Thomas works closely with the team at Youth Dreams Project for his ongoing football project, that gives children in the Millfield Area the chance to gather and play a friendly game. ⚽

Some great teamwork between council CCTV operators and response officers resulted in an arrest on Wednesday! 👏

🎥CCTV operators made us aware at 7.17pm of a man assaulting another a man in Stanley Rec in the city centre, by kicking, punching, and shoving him.

Officers attended, and with assistance from the council enforcement officers, a 35-year-old man was detained and then arrested for numerous assault offences, including assault by beating of an emergency worker.

Thanks to our eagle-eyed operators who spotted the incident, we were able to swiftly respond and arrest the man. 👍

Officers dropped the victim off at hospital with a friend to be checked over.

Last weekend our specials and cadets joined emergency service colleagues at the Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade Open Day.
They spent the day talking to families and making sure everyone had a memorable experience.
Hopefully we managed to inspire future generations as they tried on uniform and looked through the equipment.
Thank you to all the specials and cadets who generously volunteer their time for free to support the force and the community.

We all know seatbelts save lives, right? We hoped more than four decades on from it becoming a legal requirement that we wouldn’t need to still be reminding people.
Yet on Thursday evening one of our motorcycle officers found three motorists all without a seatbelt on – oh and they were all speeding!
The officer was on targeted duties to try and reduce collisions involving motorbikes who are among one of the most vulnerable road users.
Sadly, it appears there are still motorists on our roads who willingly take unnecessary risks, not just with their own safety but also with the wellbeing of others. Every time someone chooses to ignore basic precautions like wearing a seatbelt or sticking to speed limits, they put lives in jeopardy – theirs, their passengers', and everyone else sharing the road.
All three have been reported and our targeted patrols will continue throughout the summer. As we work to make the roads a safer place for all road users.

A drug dealer has been jailed after the car he was travelling in was stopped by police.

Abdul Kareem, 20, was a passenger in the vehicle when it was stopped by officers from the Neighbourhood Support Team on 11 December.

Officers found multiple small bags of cannabis in the car, as well as evidence on a mobile phone that he was involved in supplying co***ne.

At around this time last Friday (9.40pm on 24 July), we were contacted by Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service to report that they were on their way to respond to a fire in Thorney when their vehicles got stuck in Clarence Road, in Millfield, due to a number of cars parked obstructively. 🚒🚗

This action shows why we put so much focus on illegal and obstructive parking as it ultimately puts people at risk as they were unable to swiftly respond to the incident.

👮Our PCSOs have been regularly patrolling Clarence Road when they can, issuing tickets to those parked incorrectly. These patrols will continue, both individually and in collaboration with Peterborough City Council’s parking enforcement.

Next time you go to park on the road, please consider whether an emergency vehicle would be able to safely get past. 🚓🚑🚒

Please be mindful when parking your vehicle and use dedicated bays or car parks when possible.

What do these four photos have in common?
Every one of these crashes involved a drink driver.
We all know the dangers, but it appears there are still people out there who think the law doesn’t apply to them. And every time they get behind the wheel under the influence, they risk the lives of every road users around them.
Throughout the summer our drink and drug driving campaign continues.
Our confidential reporting line is open 24/7, where you can report concerns or information about drink and drug drivers – 0800 032 0845
