After this season's mackerel fishery, it's good to be able to share the extremely positive results for all those boats using the JT square mesh bag. It’s with much sadness that we announce the passing of the founder of Jackson Trawls. Arthur Buchan affectionately known as Arthur Jackson passed away on Monday afternoon. Although he retired in 2010 he was still actively involved in the office until just a few years ago but kept a keen interest in the business right to his last. Even making sure with Mark and Stephen that the Altaire’s new gear was progressing on schedule just last week!
His knowledge and wisdom will be a great miss. He loved being at the store and felt the staff were part of the family.
He’s now at home with his Lord and Saviour.
