The end of an era 🥹🐰

Six years ago, the month before the world locked down… I started Bookclub.

Bookclub began because, at the time, there were no other craft clubs in the area.

My now eldest daughter loved to craft, and I… hated mess 😆 but I could see there were no other children’s clubs doing what I wanted to offer.

And here we are, closing a chapter. Bookclub has changed a lot over the years, from mid week sessions to weekends, different age groups, different visitors, different venues…

But what has always remained, is a love of inspiring creativity and connection.

Watching parents and children spend this quality time together has been the best part of Bookclub. One on one time, with no distractions, no “just give me 2 minutes” and the bonus - no mess to tidy up.

Setting up today, as I have done the past few Bookclubs I reminded myself why I did this, and why I love it. And why it’s so difficult for me to let go.

My girls love Bookclub, and I’ve loved watching my other children grow over the years, welcoming new siblings and spotting them out and about (‘Bookclub lady’ has been one of my favourite names)

I really will struggle to say it’s over.

But for now, I wanted to thank each and everyone of you who has joined me for a session, I have loved watching your children enjoy Bookclub.

It truly has been very special and I feel very lucky to say Bookclub was mine 🥹

❣️ ANNOUNCEMENT ❣️

It is with a heavy heart that this will be my last bookclub 🥺

I’ve ran my wee Bookclub since my eldest was 2 and had many of the same children return every time, they are now unfortunately all grown up! And weekends are busy with other hobbies. Even finding a free weekend ourselves is difficult 🙊

I absolutely love my Bookclub and have ran the last few at a loss because I just couldn’t face saying it was over, but with the rising costs of supplies it just isn’t possible anymore 😞 and I also know that as busy families we are all cutting back.

So… if you have a little crafter, I’d love to see you. And if you want to join me for one last session. It would be so lovely to see you ❤️
