🌸 Blenheim’s Breast Cancer Now Afternoon Tea 🌸

Yesterday we gathered together in the Bistro for a lovely afternoon tea, with our wonderful staff and residents dressed in pink to show their support for Breast Cancer Now. 💗

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon filled with delicious treats, refreshing beverages, fun games and a raffle, all while coming together to raise awareness and support this important cause. 🎀

A huge thank you to our amazing staff for all their hard work and preparation in making the event so special. Your time, effort and creativity were truly appreciated. 💕

And a big thank you to everyone who joined us, took part in the games and raffle, and helped make the afternoon such a wonderful and memorable occasion.

Together, we can show our support for everyone affected by breast cancer and help make a difference. 💗

🌸☕ Beating the Heat in Style! ✈️🎲

We started the week by beating the heat with a lovely morning trip to our local garden centre. Residents enjoyed a refreshing coffee and cake while taking in the beautiful, colourful plants and flowers. 🌺🌿

As we watched the planes passing overhead, it sparked some wonderful conversations and reminiscence about favourite summer holidays, places we have visited over the years, and the destinations we would love to explore next. ✈️☀️

We finished the day with a little brain exercise, as our Home Manager, David, introduced us to the classic game of Backgammon. There was plenty of concentration, laughter and friendly competition… although, of course, we had to let David win! 😉🎲

A wonderful start to the week filled with friendship, reminiscence, laughter and new experiences. ❤️

☕🍰 Today we welcomed old and new friends from the community to our weekly High Tea at 3pm in the Bistro.

Everyone enjoyed a delightful afternoon of delicious cakes prepared by our amazing kitchen team, hot drinks, friendly conversation, and plenty of laughter. It was wonderful to see so many people come together, catch up with old friends, and make new ones.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the afternoon so special. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon! 💛

On Wednesday 29th July, we hosted our first breakfast networking meeting.

It was a great morning, with over 15 different organisations coming together and sharing details of the services they offer to the local community. Our guests enjoyed refreshments, bacon rols, pastries and fruit to help them start their morning right.

Today we were delighted to welcome our Hospitality Manager's son for a special visit, and he certainly brought lots of smiles to our residents! 💛

Everyone had a wonderful time singing much-loved nursery rhymes together, enjoying some piano music, completing puzzles, and having plenty of fun with Leap Frog. 🎹🧩🎶🐸

The residents couldn't help but smile as he danced around with endless energy, filling the room with laughter and happiness.
It was heartwarming to see the different generations spending time together, sharing laughter, music, and creating such special memories. Thank you for bringing so much joy to everyone's day— the residents love to see you in and around the home 💕

🌍 This Month at Blenheim Court 🇱🇻

We have been busy planning this month's activities, and the residents chose Latvia as the country they'd like to visit virtually!

Throughout the month, we'll be exploring Latvia's fascinating history, beautiful landscapes, traditions, music, and delicious cuisine—all from the comfort of the home. It's a wonderful way to discover different cultures, spark conversations, and reminisce about travel experiences.

We're also looking forward to a fantastic month of celebrations, including our Summer Event with a live singer, as well as a variety of activities and events for everyone to enjoy. We'll also be hosting our much-loved monthly Gala Dinner, giving residents another special occasion to dress up, enjoy delicious Latvian food, and spend quality time together.

It's set to be a fun-filled month, and we can't wait to share these wonderful moments with our residents, families, and friends.

There's something special about sitting together, sharing stories, laughter, and great food. These moments help build meaningful connections and remind us that mealtimes are about so much more than what's on the plate—they're about companionship, conversation, and creating a true sense of home.

Every Wednesday at 3pm, our residents look forward to one of the sweetest highlights of the week – High Tea! ☕🍰
There's nothing better than enjoying a delicious selection of freshly prepared cakes, a choice of refreshing beverages, a lovely cup of tea or coffee, and great company. From classic favourites to tempting treats, there's always something for everyone to enjoy.
It's wonderful to see so many smiling faces as residents chat, laugh, and indulge in their favourite cakes and drinks together. These special moments bring everyone together and make our weekly Wednesday High Tea a much-loved tradition.
