Nice afternoon at with the ladies from our Knit&Natter group.

We didn’t quite run to time because of course we were nattering 😂

We covered various topics with the occasional knitting chat & even did a little yarn dealing from the shop’s offers

Don’t be shy if you’d like to join we don’t bite unless of course it’s food!

Judy even finished her first sock & I managed to get back on my needles a Stephen West shawl. One of my cables broke yesterday 😢

I even took along some of my sketchbooks from my days in art. All sort of feelings about those & I even remembered the reasons behind most pages

This is Mimi
5 in October . How did that happen?
Spent her first few months with us in the shop.

She’s a mini, mini dachshund so when she was a puppy she was tiny which brought the kids from the local secondary school in to see her regularly

I still look at her sometimes & wonder how can she be so small but so much a dog on tiny legs.

Behind her is a lovely cushion commissioned from someone on here some years ago now when I had a wire daxi named Annie

Mimi has a BIG sister called Nell who is a naughty basset and her sidekick Izzy who is another mini daxi but you wouldn’t know it with the size she is!

At our meeting this morning we had a couple of finished items.

2 Woolly Hat Designer • Knit Innovator patterns from her book Short Row Colorwork Knitting done by Sue ( not on social media) and a beautiful lightweight beefed shawl.

I apologise for the shawl photo from Jenny’s garden but there was no where to show it off where we were

Jenny doesn’t wear shawls so it’s going in her gifting box. Very lucky person to get this! I did suggest I could be her friend 😂

Gosh the weather has changed so I’ve popped in some thinker yarns that need to find new homes

As always 20% off anything in this tray & free postage if you spend over £25
The re:treat & the Mode alpaca wool have same dye lots if that helps.

So where am I
Sat in a man’s world
Sexist? Well yes cos I’m the only female in a smelly garage. The smell is a garage smell
It’s all tyres, cars , locking nuts, alloy wheels car ramp talk .
Last Thursday several people told me I had a flat tyre, 1 flat tyre. RAC/Mercedes man very helpful & even drove it around to a garage
Said garage came back after looking at it saying 3 tyres had punctures & one had a crack in the alloy . WTA ! Probably all the potholes!
Unsafe to drive , bu**er!
Someone else looked at it over the weekend said it was ok……

That’s the reason I’m now breathing oil and stuff. flipping wonderful

Update : 1 tyre with puncture plus cracked alloy
1 tyre with a screw in it so puncture. Now mended

Have to go back tomorrow for welding on alloy crack & new tyre 😂
Other 2 tyres are ok.

Today’s job in the studio

We had quite a lot of buttons so I’m trying to sort them and find a place to put them.

At the moment I can find space but not all together which wouldn’t be useful for finding

I have a feeling I’m going to have to do some rearranging! And there are more than in the pictures 🙈
