Today is National Dog Rescue Day, a day that celebrates the bond between humans and dogs while bringing awareness to the countless dogs waiting to find their forever families up and down the land.

Three years ago, Millie Bear, then only six months old, through no fault of her own found herself at in Eartham, south of Petworth. I arrived at the centre to see the puppy for a friend who had just lost their dog and 24 hours later had acquired my sixth Bear. I was blessed.

If you might be interested to adopt or foster a dog from Mount Noddy where I am a trustee, please pop into BEAR and I will put you in touch with our adoption staff at the centre.

Feeling inspired by the vibrant No. 1367 Mesh on the staircase at , we think Petworth needs a splash of colour too! Wishing you a relaxing Bank Holiday weekend. We will be open on Saturday, 2nd May, 10am-5pm.

Good design with clean lines and quality materials make our dining room arrangement a sustainable and versatile choice for the years to come. We have paired our Danish rosewood circular, extending dining table by Henry Rosengren Hansen with a set of eight Model 94 rosewood dining chairs by Johannes Andersen, both 1960s. The table extends from a circle to seat four up to a large oval that seats 8-10.

New Year, new window. Our late 19th Century Hepplewhite Revival upholstered in cotton velvet takes centre stage. At either end is a Danish rosewood side table with 1960s orange glass lamps by Jacob Bang for Holmegaard. Behind hangs a selection of Vanity Fair cartoons, more of which are available at our shop and on our website.

A touch of Norway by has arrived at BEAR just in time for the cooler Autumn and Winter nights. Roros Tweed has produced high quality wool products since 1940, based on a centuries-old local craft tradition. All products are made from Norwegian wool and, from raw wool to finished product, are made entirely in Norway.
