Heading for Whitby Traction Engine Rally, shown in the previous post?

Why not stop off at JSC Collectables, 13 Birdgate, Pickering, North Yorkshire YO18 7AL and pick up a 1:50 scale version from the Corgi Vintage Glory or Premium Range?

Traction Engines, Crane Engines and Steam Lorries in various liveries.

All limited edition models, boxed, with certificates and accessories** (where applicable) have been added to my cabinet today. .

**please note accessories on some models include separately fitted chimney and towing pin. These are in the relevant box for safe keeping.

Not all available models are on display at the moment. . . .

The black and white pictures were taken 'on site' in the last few days. They've been edited using free software that came with my phone. Hopefully they give a mid 20th Century feel.

Why not buy a model and recreate your own street scene?

After many years during the 1960's in a red livery this Hornby model 'Dock Authority' shunter was re-released in black during 1972. The logo on the box shows this particular model was packaged in 1973.

Essentially a freelance design it found a home on many small railways. I particularly remember a friend of mine having one on his home layout.

With a working headlight, shown in one of the photos, and reasonable pulling power for a shunter, it is seen in the video pulling three coaches on Code 100 rail.

Available now at JSC Collectables, 13 Birdgate, Pickering, North Yorkshire

This model of a Class 25 locomotive , 25 247, was only released by Hornby between 1977 and 1979. In superb external condition this Class 25 locomotive had clearly given its previous owners some electrical headaches. Dead on arrival, these issues have all been resolved.

Some careful attention has been given to the motor and the wiring, including the illuminated headcodes. Bringing a loco that is at least 47 years old back to life is always satisfying!

Together with a full clean and service, it runs perfectly in response to the DC controller, as shown on the video.

The prototype was built by BR at Darlington in 1964. Initially allocated to Toton, it appears to have spent its working life on the LM Region. It was withdrawn from service at Wigan in 1983.

Arriving in the cabinet at JSC Collectables on Friday 3rd July.

These little metal yachts only stand approximately 5" to the top of their masts. They are proudly stamped Made in england on the bottom of their hulls, which are a mere 3" long from stem to stern.

The hulls are also made so the yachts look like they are leaning in the wind.

These lovely little models will be available soon in my cabinet JSC Collectables 13 Birdgate, Pickering, North Yorkshire YO18 7AL

Who doesn't like a ride on an open top double decker bus?

The Corgi Original Omnibus Leyland PD3 model No 42001 is at 1:76 scale and in Southdown Motor Services Livery. It has had a trip out in the sunshine with me to see some local sights. Just imagine being on the top deck.

Or, better still, go over the Moors from JSC Collectables in 13 Birdgate Pickering, North Yorkshire to Whitby and enjoy a trip on the big Yellow Whitby Town Tour Open Top Bus. See link below.

Live in West Yorkshire? I recently saw the full size version of a Southdown open top bus. It was in its current home at the West Yorkshire Transport Heritage Trust. Based in Keighley, West Yorkshire, this developing attraction is well worth a visit to see vintage cars and buses. Grab something to eat and drink in the Hudson Cafe. Maybe even become a volunteer helping to restore their vehicles.

Whilst this particular model isn't in JSC Collectables at the moment, there are many buses in 1:76, 1:50, 1:24 and even 1:144 scales, as shown in the pictures at the end of this post.

Why not pop in and have a look at the current selection. Or drop me a message if you are interested in either this or any other model bus that you can't find.
