Still here 👋🏼
After finishing my treatment in June, I decided I needed to take a little break and spend my time outside appreciating nature, the great souls in my life and have a bit of fun! So the last few months have been some much needed me time.... And hasn't the weather delivered!

This week I've been slowly breaking myself back in to some business bits. Apologies to anyone who has been waiting to hear from me. I'm feeling good, getting back on it and still enjoying this gorgeous sunshine.

How stunning are these shots by the way?! I will never regret booking my branding shoot with Emma Croman | Derbyshire Photographer...if you've been thinking recently that some professional shots would really benefit you...I promise they will! Book her in 🙌🏼 I adore looking through my folders of images so much and have found so many uses for them....like this website I'm still grinding away at 😂

A little update from me!

It's been a while, but I'm very pleased to say my treatment is done and on Monday I had the positive news that the cancer had not spread pre-treatment, so now just a 6 month wait to get the all clear. 🙌🏼

It's been a busy month easing myself back to juggling my teaching job and juggling life but I've been kind to myself and had to let my business lay low for a while. Now school has broken up for summer, it's back to business! I'm really looking forward to picking things up again and getting back into the swing of things.

This marks a chapter of a new normal for me following more than just medical changes in my life. I'm looking forward to a summer of great plans, getting back to my business and taking lots of time out in nature 🙌🏼

A slightly different post for me today but I wanted to mark this milestone with a special print...and I will explain why!

As you may know, I've had some disruption to the first half of 2026, undergoing 2 surgeries removing my thyroid gland followed by radioactive iodine treatment for thyroid cancer. Unfortunately, my workshops and a few other engagements had to hit pause for a while. Alongside this, some other life 'curveballs' have meant big changes for me, including having to up my hours in my teaching job (sadly, after just signing to drop down to 3 days a week to focus more on my business.) As a small growing business, this can be a hard pill to swallow! BUT. I can genuinely say a new chapter has begun and it's created an opportunity for adaptation and a refocus. When life gives you lemons 🤷🏼‍♀️

The day I left Weston Park following my radioactive treatment, I felt a pull to the moorlands. I ventured out and found a place in the sun by a body of water. I watched, noticed what I saw, heard and felt. The wind, the warmth of the sun, the ripples along the water, birds singing and the swaying grasses.

I sat and reflected on the challenges of the last 3 months and just how many positives have come out of this time too! I can genuinely say I feel proud of how I've navigated this time. And I'm so unbelievably greatful for the beautiful souls I call my friends. So to mark the occasion of completing the final stage of my cancer treatment I decided to forage. And with those beautiful wildflowers and grasses, I created this Gelli print, which I then had enlarged for my fireplace. For me, it's more than just a print. It's a symbol of my strength through tough times and reminds me that even in the most challenging times, you can always find beauty! It's there, you just have to look for it 🤍

Here you will find botanical prints from my Moody Moorland, Wild Woodland, Cottage Garden and Mystical Marine collections. You will find a selection of high quality Giclee prints and the occasional original prints too! All prints have been made using a Gelli plate, printing with foraged botanicals from my time spent in nature either locally in the Peak District or from my wider coastal adventures. All showing the beauty of mother nature whether it be leaves, seaweed, stems or fronds!

It's time to share my first workshop of 2026! I'm very excited to announce that I've teamed up with Haddon Hall to bring you a half day Gelli Plate workshop printing with nature.

This relaxing, mindful art form involves creating natural prints from foliage and flowers, exploring texture, colour and layering techniques. In this half-day workshop you will learn how to print using a gelli plate, how to mix your own colours and build on colour theory principles to create eye-catching botanical artworks!

All tuition, materials and equipment will be provided, including gelli plates, aprons and foliage. Tea and Coffee provided throughout the workshop. Each participant will go home with prints to frame, confidence in how to use a Gelli plate and a recipe to create your own plate. Better yet your ticket also gains you half price admission to the beautiful grounds and gardens of Haddon Hall, so you can make it a gorgeous day out!

It's a printing day today! It doesn't matter what is happening in life, overcoming hurdles, feeling too busy, burnt out. No matter how overwhelming things can be there's nothing hits the same as that time connecting with nature, appreciating her beauty and creating with your own hands. Bring on the printing marathon this evening (and probably all night too 🤷🏼‍♀️).

I absolutely adore this time of year when the ferns begin to unfurl. I have at least 12 different varieties of ferns in my garden and each one slightly different in the way they open up. I love heading outside with my morning coffee and checking their progress!

I'm so excited to join in this years Artbourne, Art Trail. And even more excited to be situated in the gorgeous shop Handmade Design! Keep your eyes peeled in their window 30th and 31st May.

Don't miss out on this fantastic weekend. It's set to be a weekend full of culture and a celebration of local creatives. With live demonstrations, street food, music and even bookable workshops to have a go yourself!

This is set to be a beautiful weekend, bringing over 100 artists together across the town in over 20 venues. Enough to keep you out for the full day exploring art in unexpected places.

Wristbands can be purchased prior to the event or on the weekend. £5 per person and under 12's get in for free!

Today I'm off out for a lovely walk with a gorgeous soul, having a good catch up and taking time to reflect, followed later a bit of self care (and probably a nap 🤣). It's been a rough few last 5 weeks for many reasons, as some know. But the sunshine, being out in nature with Harper and my absolutely amazing friends have been my saviour and my god, I'm so bloody grateful! 🤍

This print was a response to a gorgeous sunny walk on the moorlands back in summer and it feels right to share it today. The sun is out and I'm off to play in the grass and clear my head. Don't you just love being a tiny speck of a vast landscape?!
