Another little leafy corner of the shop… 🌿

Our in-house Monsteras are thriving and looking happier than ever! Everything’s been pruned, watered and is looking tip top ready for the weekend. We’ve also a big plant delivery arriving tomorrow, so keep an eye out for lots of gorgeous new arrivals…🌱🌺

Reflections…

Love how a mirror creates natural space and light. Purchased this beauty on Sunday from Port Eliot House & Gardens Country House Car Boot sale…after a scrub & sand, came up a treat.

This fabulous event is held on the first Sunday of every month at Port Eliot, St Germans and is full of vintage gems, preloved usefuls & local handmade crafts. If you enjoy a good rummage, pop Sunday 6th September in your diary, you never know what treasures you may find…🌺🌱

Muddy Awards Celebration 🥂

We had such a lovely evening celebrating at the Muddy Awards party aboard the floating bar at Quayside Exeter last month.

A huge thank you to Emma Bunning Emma Bunning the new Muddy Stilettos Devon Editor. Emma was the perfect host for the evening and looked fabulous in a stunning Aztec sequin dress!

It was wonderful meeting the other Muddy Award winners, hearing the stories behind their fantastic independent businesses and celebrating together.

We were proudly presented with our certificate (currently being framed by our lovely neighbours Peirson & Peirson Contemporary Art & The framing centre), enjoyed plenty of bubbles, delicious homemade canapés, had our portraits illustrated by Abelia's Art | Live illustration and headed home with an amazing goody bag filled with wonderful local treats ❤️

Congratulations once again to all of this year’s winners and another huge thank you to Emma for being the hostess with the mostest, the entire Muddy team for such a memorable evening and enormous thanks again to each and every one of you for voting for Bud Houseplants. We’re absolutely chuffed to have been named Devon’s Best Florist (Plant Specialist)! 🌱🌺

Best framer in town…

Lovely Clare from Hyde Park’s beautiful Peirson & Peirson Contemporary Art Gallery Peirson & Peirson Contemporary Art & The framing centre popped by to pick up a plant gift and chose a gorgeous Kentia Palm 🪴

Clare and her mum Isabell are the wonderful women behind Peirson & Peirson. Champions of local artists, passionate supporters of our independent community and absolute experts when it comes to beautiful bespoke framing.

Their Summer Exhibition of Small Works is well worth a browse and runs until Saturday 23rd August.

We love having such fantastic independent businesses on our doorstep.

Had the loveliest surprise visit today from the wonderful Emma Bunning, Editor of Muddy Stilettos Devon!

We first met Emma at the Muddy Awards last week and it was such a pleasure to welcome her to Bud. Emma really is the hostess with the mostest…so warm, genuine, and incredibly passionate about Devon and championing independent businesses like ours.

Emma left with a box full of Bud goodies…we can’t wait to hear how everything’s growing 🪴

Becky and her husband Mike run two fantastic Physiotherapy & Pilates studios…one just up the road here in Hyde Park, a beautiful contemporary space, the other a stunning converted barn on the Antony Estate near Torpoint.

We absolutely love being part of the Hyde Park community and supporting each other’s independent businesses. It really is what makes this little corner of Plymouth so special 💚
