For September, we are finally mixing things up with a theme for our performance night!

At Q***r Out Loud, our team is well aware of how expensive it is to be disabled. With an increasingly worsening financial landscape for disabled people, we want to support you with your fundraising efforts.

This month, all donations will be split between disability related fundraisers, and Sappho's. If you, or someone you know is in need of some support with funding, please fill in the form in our bio to ensure the fundraiser is part of our donations split. We can only split donations with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, but are happy to share fundraisers on our socials if the person benefitting from the funding does not identify somewhere in the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.

As per usual, the link for tickets is in our bio. There is a free option, and you are welcome to donate on the night. If you haven't got the money to pay for tickets, that is totally fine - there is never and pressure to do so.

If you identify as disabled (we would class neurodivergence as disability) then sign up link is also in our bio. We are doing surprisingly well on applications this month so sets may be shorter than normal. Please ensure that you have at least one part of your set that centres around disability. It does not have to be your whole set, though.

As always, any questions comments or concerns - send us a message!

See you in September!! 💛♿🧑‍🦯‍➡️

Hello howdy hi, don't mind us while we drop the next few Performance Night dates!

You know the drill: applications and tickets are linked in our bio ( https://linktr.ee/q***routloud ) 🕺 We are continuing with the lovely Sappho's Cafe & Community Space as our venue, so you know where to find us! Tickets are free and pay what you can donations, we will be announcing where the profits go on a monthly basis. This month we will be raising some money for our Gender Affirming Care fund to do another load of orders in the near future (keep an eye out for that in the upcoming months) 🏳️‍⚧️

In September, we're hosting a Disabled Performers Night special, where we'll be fundraising for various disability projects and go-fundmes from our community 🧑‍🦽‍➡️ 🧏 🛌

We are still hoping to host a drag special event by the end of the year, but for now we aren't able to facilitate drag, burlesque or dance performers

See you there!!!

Hey there cowboys, just a little update to say we are going to be quite unattainable for the foreseeable summer months!

We're focusing on delivering the monthly Performance Nights and Socials, but unfortunately that means we're cutting down on extra events and commitments.

🏳️‍🌈 Super sad we're not a part of Plymouth Community Pride this year, so please make sure you have fun and support all the other fantastic events on the day!!!

We're also going to continue being less active with markets and being at Shed 752, especially as a few volunteers are home for the summer 🌞

But you should totally come join us next Tuesday at Sappho's Cafe & Community Space for the July Performance Night 🗣️🎙️ and please bare with the slow replies and second grade Canva edits while Mimi is enjoying his work trip, Stu gets studying and Mal takes over 👀

It's that time of the month again - come hang out with a bunch of g**s!!

This month, we will be fostering some friendly competition and hosting a board game night. We will have a limited selection of games available, so please bring your own if there is anything you would particularly like to play!

Drop in at any time, invite your friends or make new ones on the day. We will be enjoying some of Sappho's delicious drinks and sweet treats throughout the night - the perfect solution to stick heatwave days

See on there!

As you may have seen popping up around the city, and on our socials, we did an incredibly cool thing and it's finally time for us to share it officially with you wonderful people!

If you are interested in:
- Stunning illustrations
- Comics
- Community lead research
- Q***r and/or disabled activism
- Uplifting marginalised voices

Then come join us at Sappho's on June 6th! This event is the official launch of 'Disability, Q***rness & Me - and exploration of social experiences'.
The event will feature a panel made up of Dr Stuart Read, Jua OK!, Mimi Jones and Stu Watson, supported by Dr Nina Worthington, and hosted by Mal Biele. We will be inviting you to ask questions towards the end of the panel so keep these in mind!

We will be giving out copies of the comic if you haven't collected yours yet, and we will be providing free food and drinks! There will be an opportunity for you to network at the end of the event. Q***r Out Loud will be providing some worksheets to help facilitate this if you need them.

Sappho's is a small venue so please ensure you book a ticket in advance to guarantee a seat. If you are bringing your own seat (wheelchair, rollator, or just a chair you prefer sitting in) please book the 'I am bringing my own seat' ticket. This helps us ensure we lay out the seating correctly!
