Hi everyone! This is my Grandson Oscar’s challenge… an amazing opportunity for him and we are so proud of his determination in this 😊
I wanted to share something really exciting and ask for your support if you’re able to help.
Oz, who is 15 and currently in his last year at Ivybridge Community College, has been given the amazing opportunity to travel to Ecuador with Camps International next June where he’ll be taking part in vital community infrastructure projects and helping with reforestation work in the Amazon rainforest over a period of a month. 🌳🌎
It’s a fantastic chance for him to step outside his comfort zone, experience a completely different part of the world and, most importantly, spend time giving something back to communities and environments that need support.
Two Friends. One Tandem. One Epic Devon Adventure.
On the 24th-26th October, Oz and his best friend Gabe are taking on a challenge with a difference - cycling the spectacular Devon Coast to Coast route, from the Ilfracombe on the North Coast all the way to Plymouth in the South.
That’s around 100 miles across the heart of Devon, but they won’t be doing it on two bikes…
They’ll be tackling the entire journey together on one tandem.
A tandem brings a whole new meaning to teamwork. Every hill, every mile and every challenge has to be tackled together, keeping the rhythm, encouraging each other and, quite literally, pulling in the same direction.
The route itself runs from 100 miles and on a tandem, is no small challenge. They’ll be putting in the training, getting the legs ready and relying on determination, teamwork and a fair bit of humour to get them from one coast to the other.
We’re incredibly proud of them for taking this on. 🚲 If you’d be kind enough to sponsor Oscar, no matter how big or small the donation, it would mean a huge amount to him and help get one step closer to making this once in a lifetime opportunity possible.
