The Holly Blue - The first blue butterfly to emerge in Spring. What a stunning little thing. Our own miniature blue morpho! Keep an eye out for them in woodlands, parks and gardens around Holly and Ivy as well as other nectar-rich plants in late March to May. 🦋

This is the 9th in a stack of paintings which will make up my ‘Woodlands in Spring’ ID collection. My aim is around 18 species so it’s nice to think I might be halfway there already!
